Surgical Operating Microscopes

The surgical operating microscope allows the endodontist to visualize inside the tooth during treatment with significant magnification and illumination. This technology allows us to evaluate for cracks inside the tooth and locate very small root canals that otherwise may not be located without magnification.

Nickel Titanium Rotary Instruments

These instruments, made of a special alloy, are very flexible. They are a significant advancement over the stainless steel instruments. Greater flexibility and fracture resistance allow them to follow the natural curvature of the root canal for more efficient and predictable cleaning and shaping.

Electric Motor Handpieces

The electric motor handpiece is used along with nickel titanium rotary instruments. It operates quietly to reduce patient stress.

Apex Locators

The apex locator is a measuring device that determines accurate root canal length. It eliminates the need for X-rays previously needed for length determination.

Ultrasonic Units

The ultrasonic unit removes posts and obstructions from canals and is extremely useful in locating calcified canals. These procedures are accomplished in conjunction with a very fine-tipped instrument to preserve tooth structure.
